Silverleaf extends a helping hand to oil and gas industry charity golf and cook-off event

Silverleaf CMS has the honor of designing, hosting, and maintaining the website for the 2010 Empowering The Community charity golf tournament and cook-off, hosted by Black Elk Energy.

(November 16, 2009 - Houston, TX) - Silverleaf Software, a provider of custom software solutions and web content management services, has joined forces with Black Elk Energy, an independent oil and gas operator, to benefit an exemplary Louisiana charity. On May 17, 2010, Black Elk Energy will host its second annual Empowering the Community charity golf and cook-off event with the goal of more than doubling the inaugural event's donation amount. Net proceeds from the event will once again go to benefit the Louisiana Association Community Action Partnerships (LACAP), an organization that assists over 600,000 residents of Louisiana annually. Silverleaf Software will design, host and maintain the Empowering the Community website on behalf of Black Elk as a part of Silverleaf’s community action program and inherent charitable spirit. Proceeds from the first Empowering the Community event were used by LACAP to build a training center in Baton Rouge, which will equip people with the skills necessary to weatherize homes. Silverleaf hopes to provide its quality web services to further the success of this worthy cause and enhance LACAP’s financial ability to positively affect the lives of those in need.

“We are thrilled to be even a small part of the success of this event. Members of the Silverleaf family are extremely impressed with the efforts of LACAP to make positive impact within the Louisiana community. We look forward to the tournament this year and building a solid relationship with both Black Elk and LACAP going forward”, says Jeremy Pierson, President of Silverleaf Software. “Giving back is an essential aspect of responsible business and being able to make an impact on not only individuals but entire communities makes all the efforts of the Silverleaf team worthwhile.”
